Angelism and Politics

The latest issues of the Center’s weekly, The Great Ideas Online (Nos. 975-76), discussed this May 1, 1982 lecture by Mortimer J. Adler at the Maritain Centenary Symposium, University of Notre Dame.

"The state comes into existence for the sake of the good life of the individual person, who must never be sacrificed for the good of the whole community. Such sacrifice would be justified only if each were simply an individual member and not a person whose good transcends the good of the community."

TGIO is emailed to members.
